About Us

Angels For Minis Miniature Horse & Donkey Rescue is a 501 c3 non-profit Miniature Horse Rescue located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, California. We are dedicated to the well being of the unique Breed of Miniature Horses. Our goal is to rehabilitate abused, neglected, or unwanted Miniature Horses, innocent victims of the current economy , through the charitable works of our members, sponsors, foster and adoptive homes. Through continual education we hope to minimize the need for a miniature horse rescue. 

Angels for Minis is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming miniature horses in need. Whether they’ve been abused, neglected, or simply abandoned, we believe every mini deserves a second chance at a safe, loving home.

Our mission is powered by compassion and made possible through the incredible generosity of our volunteers, sponsors, donators and adoptive homes. Together, we work tirelessly to give these innocent animals the care, dignity, and future they deserve.

Each rescue begins with love, but healing takes resources. After their initial veterinary evaluation, the average cost per horse ranges from $1300-$1900. Through donated time, services, and funding, we provide each miniature horse with:

• Necessary veterinary care
• Comprehensive Farrier care (corrective trimming)
• Proper nutrition and feed
• Rehabilitation and emotional support
• Safe, loving environments

And just as importantly, our volunteers offer something many of these horses have never known—gentle hands, kind hearts, and unconditional love.
